Studies show that nearly half of adults 60 and older experience loneliness. Senior Services’ newly developed Telephone Reassurance Program has a goal of ensuring those most vulnerable to loneliness and isolation have an opportunity to connect with others. Kalamazoo County residents age 60+ can now enroll to receive weekly calls from our valued volunteers. These weekly to bi-weekly calls can sometimes be the only engagement our older adults have with others, making them the highlight of their day. Volunteers will be matched with clients to make connections via phone to talk about interests, hobbies, current events or any other topics the client desires. If you’re interested in signing up, please fill out the form below to be contacted by a member of our staff.
