Sometimes getting older can be lonely, so we understand the important role a pet can play as a companion. Animals can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and increase social interaction and physical activity. Pets also have a positive effect on symptoms of depression and feelings of loneliness. That’s why we started the Pet Food Bank for those who love their furry friend, but sometimes need assistance in accessing food for them.
- Age 55 or older
- Resident of Kalamazoo County or Calhoun County
- Struggling to keep pets due to challenges accessing pet food
- Once a month requests per household
