Are you 6o+ and don’t have access to a well-balanced meal?

The Meals on Wheels program at Senior Services Southwest Michigan is a private, non-profit, volunteer-based service that has been delivering nutritious meals to vulnerable adults since 1960, enabling them to maintain their independence and continue to live in their own homes. Our compassionate volunteers deliver not just a nutritious meal but a friendly face on a regular basis. These daily checks not only provide peace of mind to individual’s loved ones, but also encourages social interaction and offers a link to the community for the individual.

Nutritionally balanced meals are prepared locally in our state-of-the-art kitchen and delivered Monday thru Friday between 11:00am and 1:00pm. Meals on Wheels can provide up to two meals per day, seven days a week. With each delivery, individuals receive a lunch and, often, a meal for dinner. Frozen meals can also be delivered for a weekend meal. Our meals are low in salt, fat, and sugar and come with heating instructions for both microwaves and ovens. Liquid meal supplements are also available with a doctor’s prescription.

Donations made to the Meals on Wheels program at Senior Services help offset the program costs and allow Senior Services to serve a greater number of individuals throughout the community. Individuals receiving meals are asked to make voluntary donations or asked to give what they are able; however, no one will be turned away for their inability to pay.
