Richard Kline
President and CEO

Richard has held leadership roles in healthcare, supporting those with disabilities and age-related needs, for 29 years in for-profit, non-profit, government, academic, and volunteer settings. He has a breadth and depth of experience in quality management, operations and finance, fundraising, state and federal policies, programs and regulations, advocacy, industry association board leadership and accreditation. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, a Master of Health Administration degree from Grand Valley State University, and is a member of the Kalamazoo Rotary.

Anita R. Grivins, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Anita graduated with a BBA from Western Michigan University with minors in Latvian and General Business. Upon graduating from WMU, she started work at Plante & Moran where she remained for 16 years. Anita then worked for 10 years as the Director of Finance for the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians in Dowagiac, MI. There she had the opportunity to work with many grants and funding sources, a wide variety of departments, as well as experience casino operations, while attending regular meetings with casino management.

Anita’s community involvement is largely focused on the Latvian community.  She is currently the Board Chair of the Latvian Ev. Luth. United Church of Kalamazoo, and Treasurer of the American Latvian Association, which is a national organization uniting Latvians with cultural, educational and political programs to advance goals in America and in Latvia.

Dan Pontius
Director of Operations

Dan started working with Senior Services in 2009 as the Congregate Meals Program Specialist. Since then, his responsibilities have included Nutrition and Transportation Programs Manager, Director of Nutrition and most currently he serves as the of Director of Operations. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Organizational Development and a Master of Science in Management from Spring Arbor University. In addition to his current responsibilities with Senior Services, he is Adjunct Professor for Kalamazoo Valley Culinary and Nutrition Department; serves on the Senior Care Partners PACE Board of Directors; serves on the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Culinary Advisory Committee and the Bronson Healthy Living Campus Strategy Team. Dan is an avid motorcyclist and has owned and operated a small motorcycle apparel business since 2013.

Shari Johns
Director of Human Resources

Shari received her BA in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor. She has spent her 25 year career in various roles in the HR field, mostly at Healthcare Organizations. She joined Senior Services four years ago as the Director of Human Resources. She is an active member in local chapters of SHRM and KHRMA, both of which are Human Resource organizations. She also volunteers with Disability Network on the HR Committee, is a coach for Borgess Run and assists with our local Girls on the Run. In her personal time, she loves to spend time outside, on the beach, skiing, running, gardening and is the proud “Nana” to four grandchildren.

Corinne Bradley MSN, RN, CPHQ
Director of Quality and Clinical Programs

Corinne has been in the healthcare field for over 20 years with most of her time being spent working for community based organizations that serve the most vulnerable populations. She received her Masters Degree in Nursing from Ferris State University as well as becoming a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) through the National Association of Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). Corinne is a member of many organizations including the American Nurses Association, Michigan Nursing Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society, National Association of Healthcare Quality, and Health Care Compliance Association. During her free time Corinne enjoys spending time with her family, especially camping.

Cassandra Boyd
Director of Fund Development

Cassandra graduated from Michigan State University with honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Arts with an application area in Business. After college, she worked for Hallmark Cards Manufacturing as a supervisor and Quality Manager before redirecting her career. For 20 years she owned and managed Cassandra’s Catering and Specialty Items here in Kalamazoo, before coming to work at Senior Services. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a Ministry Leader and Trustee of Mt Zion Baptist Church. She previously sat on the Advisory Board of the Community Action Agency for four years and was Board Chair the last two years. Cassandra loves flower gardening and spring and summer are her favorite times of the year.

John Grib, MPA, LMSW
Advocacy Liaison

John earned his BS in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, an MPA from Western Michigan University and is a Licensed Master Social Work in the State of Michigan. He has been with Senior Services for over 20 years where he works part-time on the strategy team as Advocacy Liaison. He previously was Director of Community and Clinical Services overseeing the MI Choice Waiver and a variety of behavioral health programs. John is currently the Chair and President of the Michigan Home and Community Services Network, and past Board Member of LeadingAge Michigan, and Board Chair of Guardian Finance and Advocacy Services in Battle Creek. Previously, he served as a township Trustee and Supervisor of Marcellus Township as well as Commissioner on the Lakes Area Sewer Authority. He resides in South Haven, Michigan where he volunteers at the Epiphany Episcopal Church. John is married with five adult children and, at last count, 13 grandchildren.
